Mr. Moni and Shalom 360 Entertainment give us an introduction to the eclectic, colorful palette they’ve been working with. Their music feels like a splatter of influences ranging from hip-hop to dream pop, and in these times, that feels not only completely natural, but necessary to be a part of the future.
Dennis Orianzi A.K.A Mr. Moni, has no singular, defining sonic trademark. His music feels nimble and unhinged, and that’s all the more reason to believe that he’ll keep evolving with the times.
“Overcome” has it all—sharp observational rapping, memorable melodic moments, and an incredible barrage of quotables. With sparse musical accompaniment, his uniquely soothing english and ijaw verses jump to the front of the track, putting a spin on this thing that only he could. Mr. Moni seems to write sticky notes with ease, and his low-key delivery means you might not even realize his songs are stuck in your head until a few days later.
This is not only because of his laid back style of rapping compared to more high energy contemporaries. With a conversational delivery, witty but poignant observations, and a song like this, Mr. Moni goes into the industry with a lot of momentum.
