One of 2017’s most magnetic and creative duo, Knowledge & Piego well-known as Ajebo Hustlers, enter this second quarter of this year 2018 with yet another stunner, the walloping “Sophisticated Iyawo Remix” is everything we could want from what’ll hopefully be the sequel to one of 2017’s biggest surprises. The single and it’s crisp clear video don’t disappoint, as Terry Apala delivers another soothing, addictive tune full of his inimitable voice against the awesome instrumental produced by the gifted hands of Orlando Magic.
“Sophisticated Iyawo” is a jaggedly torn scrapbook page of Ajebo Hustlers‘s musical ideas, spacious and improvisational, with freewheeling sounds and a sudden pivot to a cathartic piano. It’s raw, but the small drams of melody are intoxicating nonetheless.
This new single is sultry and presents Knowledge & Piego (Ajebo Hustlers) with the proper platform to continue to be as charming as possible. If this is a preview to a compilation or EP, it feels safe to say the next Ajebo Hustlers project will be another notable release.
