Nigerian rapper and entrepreneur, Teria Yarhere popularly known as M-trill delivered a very powerful speech at the Port Harcourt edition of TEDx.
The speech which was centred around his experience in the music industry and what it takes to be a successful musician viz a viz a business minded person.

1. Entertainers Need To Think Like Entrepreneurs
M-trill notes that entertainment in this era has witnessed a lot of changes, in the past the release of a body of work was the endpoint but in this era, it is the starting point. The lyricist went on to advise entertainers to think of raising funding the same way they think about lyrics and lines.
He further advised entertainers to take the business part of their art serious because that is the key to remain relevant in the industry of today.
2. Entertainers Should Be Social Commentators:
M-trill advises that entertainers should be a social commentator; by extension, he means that entertainers should be the voice of the people in the face of difficulty.
Being an entertainer, the art gives some sort of influence and it affords you the opportunity to let the yearning of the masses known.
3. Entertainment Should Be Advocators:
He encourages entertainers to be advocators in order to help make the society they live in a better place.
As entertainers, you also have the duty of having an impact on your followers and the society you entertain. For instance, there are a lot of problems affecting Nigeria which you can be an advocate to help reduce or curb totally.
As an advocate, there is a pool of social causes to pick from HIV/AIDS, Malaria, Sickle Cell among others.
All these personas would help an entertainer build a great curriculum vitae and also increase relevance.
